O'dell / McAllister Wedding

Introducing Mr. and Mrs McAllister....

On April 21, 2012, I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Brooke O'Dell and Brian McAllister.  The wedding was held in Marietta, Georgia at one of its premiere hotels.  The day started out on a perfect note.  The weather seemed to be co-operating and my team and I went to work almost 3 hours before the ceremony.  The wedding planner, Bridget Baker, was on point as she always is and seeing as we have worked together in the past, I knew what to expect... utter perfection and seamless transition.

I started out by shooting the wedding dress and the shoes.  I moved over the the ring and flowers, while my assistant and fellow photographer Ty Nguyen took care of the groom and the groomsmen.  I took the girls outside and started some group shots of them as well as solo shots of the bride.  She was amazing.  We found an enormous white wall and took some great pictures there.

The ceremony was now underway and again, great weather.  So, there were no worries as it was an outside wedding.  We took some family shots and then the bridal party.  Once all that was done, we had about 30 minutes with the bride and groom to capture some long term memories under the huge oaks that created a perfect canopy of light to shoot under.

On to the reception and the father daughter dance.  I love that part.  To see a grown man holding what once was his little girl in his arm; and now before him stands a beautiful grown princess.  It gets me every time.

They cut the cake and tossed the flowers and were off to there honeymoon.  It was a great day.

On a side note, the couple had a carpenter create a replica of a big red phone booth to represent the beginning of all of these.  They were engaged in England and wanted something to display at their wedding.  It was a cool idea and presented many photo opportunities as people lined up to get their photo taken inside the phone booth.

Enjoy the photos.
